Accessing Google Classroom – Important Email Instructions

When you purchase a book club session, you’ll need to be added to our Google Classroom. Please follow these steps to make sure you can access all the course materials:

1. Use Your Preferred Email at Checkout

   - Enter the email address you want to use for communication when making your purchase.

   - This email will also be used to add you to our Google Classroom.

2. Check if Your Email is Already a Google Account* 

   - If you’re using a Gmail address (e.g., yourname@gmail.com) you already have a Google account and will be added automatically to our Google Classroom. Feel free to stop reading here.

   - If you’re using a non-Google email (e.g., yourname@hotmail.com, yourname@yahoo.com) you will need to create a Google account using that email address.

3. Creating a Google Account with Your Existing Email

   - Go to the Google Account Creation page (https://accounts.google.com/signup).

   - Click on “Use my current email address instead” (or a similar option) to sign up with your non-Gmail email.

   - Fill out the form with your details and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

   - This service is completely free and will enable you to access Google Classroom with your current email address.

4. After Creating Your Google Account 

   - Once your account is set up, you’ll be added to our Google Classroom automatically using the email you provided at checkout. This can take up to 24 hours. 

   - Check your email for an invitation from Google Classroom and follow the instructions to join.
