Join us in reading How to Train Your Dragon! We’ll follow exciting adventures with Hiccup and his dragon, Toothless! Explore the
world of Vikings, dragons, and unforgettable friendships. Through interactive discussions, fun activities, and engaging challenges, students will strengthen their reading and speaking skills in English while immersing themselves in the world of dragons. With its simple and engaging writing style, this club is perfect for young ESL learners who love adventure and humor!

-Four 50-minute group discussions, conducted via Zoom.

-Four reading guides to help students actively engage with the text by identifying key vocabulary words, grammar, themes, and literary elements as they read.

-Weekly comprehension quizzes and engaging activities.

-Thought-provoking forum discussions in our Google Classroom community to improve critical thinking and encourage communication amongst students.

-Supplemental materials related to the book, such as articles and videos.

-Personalized feedback and corrections.

How Our Book Clubs Work

1. Within 24 hours of joining our club you will be added to our Google Classroom community. Here you will have access to our class materials, Zoom discussion links, and more. Please review our detailed instructions for Google Classroom before enrolling in a club.

2. Purchase the book. You can read it on paper, via e-book, or even listen to it with an audiobook!

3. Follow the weekly reading guides and answer the questions as you read.

4. Answer the expansion questions after reading and complete the activities. These will be corrected and returned to you before the following week. 

5. Participate in our weekly group discussions via Zoom, and share your thoughts about each week’s reading with your classmates!
