Welcome to Camp Half-Blood! This popular work of fiction introduces readers to myths, legends, and history from Ancient Greece in an engaging way. It’s perfect for young readers who enjoy fast-paced stories full of humor, friendship, and adventure. We’ll follow 12-year-old Percy Jackson and his two best friends on a thrilling journey across the U.S.A. as they attempt to find Zeus’s lost lightning bolt and prevent a war among the gods. Students will complete a wide range of fun activities, such as creating their own demigod, comparing the book with real Greek history, and much more!

How Our Book Clubs Work
1. Within 24 hours of joining our club you will be added to our Google Classroom community. Here you will have access to our class materials, Zoom discussion links, and more. Please review our detailed instructions for Google Classroom before enrolling in a club.
2. With this particular club, purchasing the short stories is unnecessary. They will be available in our Google Classroom.
3. Follow the weekly reading guides and answer the questions as you read.
4. Answer the expansion questions after reading and complete the activities. These will be corrected and returned to you before the following week.
5. Participate in our weekly group discussions via Zoom, and share your thoughts about each week’s reading with your classmates!
